Default TPS Readings

I'm still pretty new to tuning and was able to get my car to idle great start up in the cold great, but I cannot figure out how to set up launch control. I have it wired to a switch and pulled the jumper in the ecu per MEGAsquirts directions. I believe my problem is my TPS. I am getting absolutey no readings from it. Full throttle show 0 TPS% and no throttle shows 0 TPS%. I've seen a few things about a BMW VTPS sensor, but I'm unsure if that is actually needed or if there is something wrong with my stock TPS. I've also seen a few things saying I need to tap into the neutral safety switch and connect that to my clutch switch or the car will only activate launch control in neutral. The car is not activating launch control at all in neutral or in any gear. I also don't think that's necessary since I'm running it to a switch. The car a 1991 long nose 1.6 miata on mspnp2. If anyone knows what else it could be or if this is my problem how to fix it it would be much appreciated.

You're not getting any TPS signal at all?
Are you using TPS-based Accel Enrichment? If so you're going to have a bad time without a TPS signal.

Stock 1.6 TPS is just a switch. You'll need a variable TPS (something like this https://speedyefi.com/product/vtps-a...-vtps-for-na6/).
Note that I changed out the TPS from that link for a legit (used) BMW OEM TPS as the cheap aftermarket sensor developed dead spots after a year.
The 3D printed bracket is still going strong.

Thank you for the help! I will keep checking that link for whenever they get back in stock. Do you happen to have the link to the OEM on you eventually switched to or what bmw it came off of so I can pull it from a junkyard would be awesome.

There are several threads on here that discuss using a Kia tps that was a straight forward install if I remember correctly. I believe you can find a 3d printer file on the thingiverse or similar sites for the bmw adaptor. Just print it, have a frend print it or use an online vendor that will print it for ya

I pulled it off my spare 1998 BMW E36 328i intake manifold.

Should be part number: 13631721456

I got the sensor and the adapter in not too long ago and it works great! I have another question if you don`t mind. I recently helped a friend with installing an mspnp2 on his miata and after the install his car lost all spark. We tested the ignition wire that we pulled 12v ground of off and it was still getting power on ignition. We tested the wires all the way back to where it plugs into the distributor at and there is no power. We checked the megasquirt and none of the wires had fallen out. We checked timing and played with it on tunerstudio and it didn`t change anything. No spark even on the stock ecu either.
