Default Std Miata Coolant sensor, MS3 Pro Settings?

Hi Guys

To go endurance racing, we have temporarily converted our car from 1800 Turbo to VVT with ITB's and in the process upgraded (amongst other things) from Microsqurt to MS3 Pro.

I'm having a few issues with sensors. I can't seem to find this by searching.

The first one is, what values do we use for the std Miata coolant sensor in MS3 Pro....0v and 5v voltages?

Heck yeah. Looks like a fun setup.

The OEM sensor should be a Bosch NTC which usually are read by resistance, not voltage. Tunerstudio has a wizard under Tools > Calibrate thermistor Tables for this. The calibration should be as follows assuming your wiring is somewhat standard:
bias resistor 2490,
-4F, -20C, 16150 Ohms
104F, 40C, 1150 Ohms
176F, 80C, 330 Ohms

Use Mazda default for nb sensor, rx7(s5) for NA sensor. The there wire NB sensor is just the ECU and gauge cluster sensors in one, so I’d recommend the NB sensor. The more NB stuff you can use, the better.

Sorry for the delay was out of town for a few days over the long weekend, we extended up front.

Thank you both redursidae and curly

I'll probably need to make a new post but just in case, do either (or anyone else) know if Generic Sensor 1 and 2 default broadcast on CAN?

My AiM Evo4 and MXL dash just won't see the sensor 1 and 2 signal from the MS3 Pro Evo.

I'm using them for oil pressure and temp.

I don't have direct experience with this, but the manual states that the default parameters sent by the "Dash Broadcast" setting sends Sensor 1 and Sensor 2 by default. Make sure the Aim has the channel enabled. Just a guess, but it may be getting sent to ADC6/ADC7 in the default Aim configs?

ADC6 and ADC7 are received in AIM's MS3 CAN protocal, you can rename them in in RS3. You'd just have to be sure that the sensors are wired to ADC6 and 7.
