Squirting a former automatic car
My head is exploding from the massive amounts of info on MS. I'm trying to find out understand the differences there are in the wire harness from a 90-93 (federal) 1.6 automatic car.
My car in particular has been converted to a stick before I ever drove it and as far as I can tell it has a 4 wire VTPS that is wired different in the harness than manual cars. And looks to be the only difference ...I think.
Some diagrams show "if car is prewired for VTPS must unplug stock tps" which confuses me even more.
From what I can figure out if/when I build it (or buy and modify one) pin 22 on the MS would go to 2m on the ECU harness and pin 26 would go to 2k? The black green wire would just be left alone and the red (1n connector on the auto harness) would be left alone.
Any and all help is much appreciated,
D

Does it have the manual or automatic wiring harness? An automatic harness would have a torque converter lock-up output on one of the pins '93 California cars used for sequential injection, a different TPS wiring setup (the note about unplugging a stock TPS means a stock manual transmission TPS), and that's about it as far as MS installs are concerned.

Just thought I'd update this, did exactly as redrider said.
Here is how the auto harness should look for the TPS to work.
2M is the blue TPS (instead of 2L)
2k is grey 5vref (instead of 1n)
