Default Removing the bushing from a stock TPS?

Working on installing my TPS201. I've taken apart the stock TPS and removed the plastic pieces (photo attached) but am having a bit of trouble on the bushing. Any tips or tricks there? https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...ictures-23979/ says a vice grip and sockets (not sure how sockets would help) to remove it. I've been pulling with the vice grips a bit and doesn't seem to want to come out that way. Might just take a dremel to it tomorrow (cut in thirds or something) since I don't think any of that is important for the 201, just want to keep the connector so I can solder the wires to it / keep it mint.

The problem is that it's not just friction fit into that hole. It's actually pressed and bent to fit the hole in the plate.

I used a step drill bit in the bushing until it chewed through and separates it into two pieces, then you can pry it apart with a blade or screwdriver.

Thanks Chris! I didn't have a step drill handy, but that would have been easier (but maybe less fun) than the dremel.

I ended up putting four deep cuts through the front and the back in an "X" formation to get it to the point where I could pull it out with the vice grips. Now I just need to find some self-tapping screws to secure the TPS unit and I'm good to go! Excited to try out launch control and hopefully not have the RPMs drop so damn low from idle to first (when bliping).

For future reference this option is plug and play and about the same price. Contact me for a bracket.

That's a brilliant piece! I wish I had seen this before. I'm moving on to DBW but if I wasn't I'd definitely buy this to clean up my install.
