Overheating, inconsistent fans HELP!!
Had another track day Monday and really need to know if its Msq or something else I need to be looking at for a solution.
The temp goes up and up (250) and the fans don't come in. If I stop the car, turn off the ignition and restart the car the fans come in and stay in for the rest of the session keeping it around 210.
If I go back in the pits, turn off go out again then the same cycle happens.
So literally ever other run, I have to stop once hot, turn off / on then go back out again.
What controls the fans? The Msq? The thermostat ? If yes where does it get the reading from, my innovate? Where are the fan / temp control settings in Msq?
It seems that the fan control only activates if I turn on the car when it's already over the temp limit, am I missing something obvious. Thanks Guys

What MS do you have? Who built it? what model year miata do you have?
The MS should be controlling the fan unless you have a 90-93 and haven't removed your thermoswitch. This is something you must configure (correctly, I should add) in software, it should be using the CLT temp reading off the sensor on the back of your head.
