Oil Temp and Pressure Sensors on an MS2PNP
I'm rebuilding my engine and figure adding oil temp and pressure sensors can't hurt. I don't want to run the sensors to analog gauges as I don't have any more space for gauges without chopping up the interior. Instead, I'd like to wire them as inputs into my MS2PNP, are there enough extra inputs to do this (ADC6 and ADC7 maybe?) and if so, how would I go about wiring everything? Also, do the sensors need to have linear output?

Pressure sensors are generally linear, make sure to get a 0-5v ratiometric gauge, use vref for 5v, sensor ground for ground, and ADC6 for signal. Temp sensors usually need some form of conditioning (thermocouple) or a pull-up resistor (thermistor). I would look into the Autosports Lab temp sensor which already has conditioning to make it a linear 0-5v output.

Got this figured out with a GM temp sensor. I wrote up a quick post explaining how.
