Default Odd VEAL behavior, consistently wants to go rich at low load.

For the longest time it seems my Nat-Aspirated Miata wants to got to high VE numbers at low low mid-high rpm. It happens when I let VEAL do its own thing while I drive and yesterday I got Megalog working and the VE analyze does it as well. Should I just chalk it up to my engine like it like this, or have I just screwed up my AFR targets like a newb?

The 5750rpm and low load always VEAL to these, or higher numbers.

Megalog likes to do a similar thing.

Am I a complete tool making AFR tables?

It is probably completely unrelated, but I have a returnless NB1 fuel system. Shouldn't this setting be "Fixed" and NOT "vac ref"

Comparing mine (on the right) vs. another "well tuned" nat-asp example I found on here (on the left) our tables do no seem similar. I know the VE numbers will be different and the exact shape may vary, but I would assume that basic slope and hill shape would appear to be close. Like maybe if the two were shown side by side and viewed from across the room one might forget who's is who's sorta similar.

On the last question: I played with that setting on my '99 when I had the returnless also, and saw no difference. I could not tell where the extra calculation is actually used.

Seems to me, VE table should well account for fuel system, regardless.
