No Sync after Firmware Update? Car runs.
I updated my the firmware on my MSPNP2 rev 1.2 (early mainboard), to 3.4.2 (using Tunerstudio, microsquirt module, the none-cased file). I disconnected coils before updating.
I had to swap a few outputs around to get things back in check, namely boost control, tachout, and idle valve. I think the names changed between versions, no big deal.
The car itself runs and idles well. HOWEVER I don't want to do anything more than idle it because Tunerstudio is reporting 'not synced'. I seem to have CAM and CRANK signal when looking at the diagnostic log - this is CAS triggering.
I also compared my ignition settings between the tune prior to firmware, and after the firmware. They're both using 4g63, etc, etc. It seems to match, so I'm a bit confused.
Can anyone take a look at these logs? I zipped up:
Composite log of idling
Datalog of idling
MSQ prior to firmware update
MSQ after firmware update

RTFM!
"Not Synced" was changed to "Not RPM Synced" in the newest firmware. So my little red indicator telling me I wasn't in sync was completely wrong. I just had to delete it and make a new "Not RPM Synced" indicator. All is well!
