No RPM on TAch, Megatune and Techedge WB
Hi all,
i am new on Megasquirt(MSPNP) and i did some tuning.
First of all, first i installed all, and then i was reading here..
Ok, now it is...
My problem:
A few days back my engine dies and didnt come back to run....
I changed the ignitor and the CAS
After that my, car was fireing up again and all looks good.
Now the same problem is again, but now i dindt know what happends.. i did nothing wrong, just tried to start.
It all begin with a "electric short" on the engine (a few days before), i but out the oilfeedline and hit the 12+ Volt from the Enginestarter... short but i hit..
The MSPNP works all fine, i dind a new flash Highres, new softwareflash, changed the igitor and the CAS back to the old ones, but still nothing happens.
Btw.. i dindt try to check the Coils, because i use the "Splitfire" Coils, some guys here use that as well, just but the original back to try.. but still...nothing happens
The last what i hear from the engine was a Sound like from a OLD Harly "Pflap Pflap Pflab" and no response to the Throttle.
What do you think can be the problem?
Can it be an ground problem??

It would have been nice to know whether it was the igniter or the CAS which perished. If it was the igniter, I'd look seriously at the output drivers on the MS and ensure that they are not floating to 5v when they should not be.
The fact that you see no RPM indication in megatune when cranking the engine on the starter, however, points to a CAS failure. Could it be that you mis-applied one of the pullups and are causing an over-current situation on the CAS's outputs?
I'm afraid I have no idea at all what this means: "i but out the oildrain and hit the 12 Volt from the Starter... short but i hit.."
