Default New MS3 owner at a loss, please help.

Hello everyone. I recently received a new MS3 from Reverant here, followed his instructions to set it all up, and now I can't seem to find out how to fix my issue. I started out with the base map provided with the MS3, and have not changed anything aside from the basic setup suggested in the instructions, and now the car barely even idles. It struggles to start, shudders the whole time it idles (around 650-800rpm), and dies once coolant temp reaches around 120 degrees. Could somebody please help me out, I'm simply overwhelmed with Tunerstudio and all the options it has. I have attached the current tune. Thank you.

The car is an 01 LS Miata with a vortech supercharger, 6psi pulley, stock exhaust, 440cc rx8 injectors, still has MAF sensor, a recirculating valve, and a GM AIT sensor.

Reverant most likely supplied you with a very good starting point for a tune. He will have gotten all the basic settings right. Changing the basic settings was probably a bad idea.

If you made changes based on information you found here, you probably screwed it up.
Go back to the tune that Reverant supplied and then start tuning where necessary. But only where necessary (For example VE and idle). REASEARCH before you make any changes. Don't guess- know.

Thanks, I ended up finding out the vacuum line didn't have a great seal, and just starting over with the supplied base tune from reverant. Now the car starts up and idles around 1500rpm, with the AFR around 14-15.5 and the rpms slowly drop like it should, then suddenly the car leans out and dies like the car has a choke. It runs super lean (16-18) once warmed up and if given any throttle it goes super rich and dies. I've tried giving it more fuel in the VE table, but it resists leaning out despite how much fuel I add, and I haven't got a clue how to fix the issue with it dying when given any gas.

Any idea how to fix it? Thanks!

Too much fuel maybe ? You shoudl try one thing after another.

IN TS you can find a test mode, test each coils, injectors, fuel pump and work from there. Checking the spark plugs color will also give you some good idea of what's going on.

It looks like you still need to add plenty of fuel below 1600rpm.

Often, when you have to add a lot of idle fuel on a known good base-map, your injector dead-time is too short.

+1, try increasing the dead time from your current .9 to 1.1 ms.

Thank you all very much, that advice with the injector dead time current fixed the issue. I ended up removing the supercharger and tuning the car for N/A power until I can save up for a turbo, or an rx7 haha. I have two more questions:

1: My tachometer doesn't work. All other gauges work, but the tach doesn't. It is a 99-00 JDM cluster (for the 7500rpm and 6 o'clock needles), so that may be the issue.

2. What all is involved with removing the MAF as far as tuning the MS is concerned? I want to remove to further gain a couple ponies from my cold side intake.

I don't see why you have not removed your MAF if you have a built in MAP in the MS3 unit, and a IAT.

Edited Because stupid.

Your tune prob is already based on IAT and the MAP sensor. So you I almost bet could just remove the MAF right now and nothing happen. Check with Rev though, maybe I am wrong...

Thanks! I'll remove it and see how it affects it. Any idea how much more power removing it would provide? Probably not much, but hey, it is a restriction.

shudders/sputters and dies is usually low fuel

instant death or rough/chugging but keeps running is often too much fuel.
