NEED HELP with TPS not working.
The car, 99 10AE with Reverant built MS3PNP. EFR6258 turbo on a built 94 block with VVT head, blah, blah, blah......
Car has run great for 6 months. After I installed my flat top intake and Skunks TB I have a check engine light. In TS it looks like the TPS isn't working, no signal is coming back from the TPS? So after a little testing this is what information I have.
I don't see how the new manifold or TB have anything to do with anything?
The TPS wasn't working so I tried another used TPS I had and it seemed to work fine when the harness was unplugged from the Skunks TB that was on the car and plugged into the the spare TPS. After installation of the spare TPS on the TB it didn't work. Tested fine through about twenty cycles in my hand, once on the car nothing.
Checked all the wiring. Didn't see anything obvious. Tried pulling and wiggling the wires while cycling the throttle to see if I had a short in the harness but could not get it to work. Then I checked voltage at the factory harness ECU plug and the voltage seems to act as expected. 0% throttle shows .42V and full throttle shows @4V.
Something of note, if unplugged from a TPS the signal wire shows .15V. This goes to .01V when plugged into a TPS that is not connected to a TB. That seems weird to me?
I suspect there is a problem with my MS3 but I have no idea where to begin with that!?!?!?
Please share your ideas and thoughts.

Disable the TPS sensor check and see if that fixes it. More likely than not, the new TB forces the TPS to be a little more closed than on a normal Miata TB, and that triggers the CEL which deactivates the TPS.

Ok. I thought I remembered that the CEL came on if it got over a certain temp. My mistake. I guess when I kept getting the CEL light it was because of the TB/TPS issue. Well, I have some mechanical issues to fix before I worry too much about tuning......fml
