Default Need help getting my MegaStim in order, TX

Hello everyone! I'm sure you all think I'm an idiot for asking for help with the MegaStim of all things, but allow me to explain. I have a megastim right now, but it has definitely had a shady past. Some Baylor kids built it 5 years ago, then gave up on the project (turbo NA miata for Baylor). They also managed to **** up a ms1 v3 board, which was blown from esd, so our club got a new ms2 v3 board. I know the MegaStim is an easy thing to assemble, and way more durable than a main board, but I am still unsure if the MegaStim is actually working. I've gone over the shitty soldering job and gotten good connection on everything, but I'm worried about the transistor on the board because two pins of the transistor were soldered together when I first received it. I've seen somewhere, probably on megamanual, that the only way to test the MegaStim is to hook it up to a working MegaSquirt. Does anyone know of a way to test it other than this? And if there isn't one, does anyone around Waco have a working megasquirt that would be ok with me hooking my megastim up to it and potentially helping me troubleshoot? I'd appreciate any help I can get, and I am willing to drive out to any of the big cities in texas to get this done.
