My timing is about 7 degrees more retarded than what the map says and idle is high.
I've been working on my 1.8 with an Enhanced MS2.
My timing is about 7 degrees retarded than what the map says in TunerStudio. If the map says it should be 14 degrees at idle, the gauge in TunerStudio and my timing light say 7. If timing should be 20 degrees higher up in the RPM range TunerStudio says 13.
If I go into trigger wizard, it says I should read 7 degrees with my light. It does. If I set timing to a fixed 10 degrees and no table, my light will read 10 degrees.
Also, my idle is about 1200 RPMs and I've bottomed out the idle adjustment screw. Yes, the throttle cable is slack. Could this be in the ISV somewhere?
Any ideas? Tips? Places to start?

Yeah. As I recall, when I went into trigger angle window it was reading off of what my timing light read. I had to set the trigger offset angle at 3 in order to make it read the same.
It will read the same if I 1) Set it to fixed timing. 2) go into the trigger wizard. Even then the trigger wizard will say 7 degrees when the map says 14.

I don't know your familiarity with the timing marks and adjustment in the software, so I will assume you did it correctly.
I would look to see if you have any of the settings to retard timing set to 7*. If you are retarding 7* everywhere it makes sense that you have set up a condition that is always being met and timing is being pulled.
