Default MS3x crank no start 1.6

After getting my ms3x installed last night for the first time I loaded up the firmware and base tune from trubokitty. Right now the car is cranking over fine but will not start. I am a BIG megasquirt & tunerstudio noob right now so after reading through some other similar threads I'm still stumped.

Car is a stock 1.6L with TPS disconnected
IAT sensor plugged into pins 1 and 6 on the AFM plug
Timing fixed to 10 degrees

Below I have attached a composite log cranking the car for 5+ seconds and the tune file. Any input is greatly appreciated

I'm on mobile so can't view it right now. But when I set mine up I had a similar issue and had to change spark from rising edge to falling edge or vise versa. Sorry for the vague answer but it's a quick easy thing to try

Can't view your log on my phone. I had this issue too when I went to ms3x can you post a screenshot of the composite log?

Still no luck. Put the stock ecu back in the car and now am diagnosing a mis at low rpm. Timing is showing a few degrees advanced with stock ecu. Seems like I've got some other troubles to fix before trying to put in the megasquirt again.

I had bad syncing issues when I installed mine. Turned out I needed to jump jp7 on my board and that solved all my problems.

Thanks for the input guys. What else is there to verify is functioning correctly with the megasquirt? If its syncing correctly is it safe to assume the MS is assembled correctly? The timing being off with the stock ecu seems like a big red flag to me so I'm going to chase that down and hope it helps resolve the issue.

Hey guys,

I dove back into the car this weekend. Was able to get it to start. I completely overlooked wiring the fuel pump when setting up the MS. Thanks brain for that reminder. After sending a wire to the second and last plug on the AFM connector the car started right up. Now the car will run but only for a few seconds before it dies. I thought this might have been a issue with the fuel pump, but after jumping it in the diagnostics box and having no change I have ruled that out.

I have the 1.6 base map loaded up from trubokitty. I have calibrated the appropriate sensors, although I still have the stock 1.6 TPS on the car (unplugged) So right now no vTPS installed. Luckily Lars from MK Turbo dropped off my set up today so I have one ready to go on but figured I didn't wanna put any more variables into the mix. Lars suggested to richen up the idle VE table cells. I have seen most people seem to have little to no issue getting the car to idle on the basemap which raises a little concern.
What would you guys recommend my next steps should be?

Car is a 1.6L 1993
DIY MS3x build from trubokitty.net
no vTPS
basemap from trubo kitty

Heres a quick log and my map. Thanks

My little amount of knowledge tells me the car should start and run fine without vTPS.

Yes I has wideband. AEM Uego 30-4110

Update.

Tonight was able to have the car run very poorly above 2k rpm which seemed like a step in the right direction. Left to run across town and came back to a car that wont start again! We made zero adjustments to the tune or anything else so I am pretty lost as to what to do next. The first time I had issues with it starting I found out to be me not wiring up the fuel pump like a dummy. This time the issue doesn't seem so obvious. I am very new to the world of MS and tuning so any suggestions as to what direction to head in are greatly appreciated.

Below I have posted a log from earlier today when I was able to modulate the throttle so the car ran for a bit. When the car ran it was smelled super rich, pulled the plugs and were all completely black. My afr's seem to be reading all over the place so I'm not sure if there is a issue there or the sensor just not being heated up yet.

Where do you live? I'm in Goose Creek not far from Lars and I could take a look at your car/tune. I'm off this Sunday if you're free at all.

I live near South Bend Indiana. Thanks for the offer though. I appreciate it.
