MS3X 1.8 NA No crank signal after ms2pnp upgrade
Hi all,
I have an issue that i cannot seem to figure out, I have spent countless of hours searching online on how to resolve it but I cannot get a crank signal after I installed a ms3x in my 1994 1.8 NA. I am getting the cam signal however. As per instructions it says I need to set my Ignition input capture to Rising edge, when I do this I get no signal at all. If I set it to falling edge i do get atleast cam signal.
I am upgrading from a MS2PNP and the car runs fine on this ecu (also after trying to get the ms3x to work). The MS3X board that I have is the v3.57. When I swapped to the ms3x I loaded my ms2pnp project onto the ms3x, apart from some settings it was able to just transfer everything. Could the crank signal have a problem due to a conflict issue? it isn't giving me any warnings or errors.
Things that I have tried:
I have set the potentiometers to 2.5v
Also the jumper pins are in the correct spot
triple checked the wiring
Put a 1K resistor externally between pin 26 to pin 24 on the main board.
I hope someone can help me out, or point me in a direction of other things that I can try. Thanks in advance
