4S looks to go directly to the battery, 4AF is behind the main relay.

I have no '04 wiring diagram, so can't check, but from this I understood that 4S is power when ign is turned on?

If 4S is battery and 4AF only turns on when 3H has been grounded by the MS, how do you turn on the MS?

thx, all clear now.
4S is indeed 12V ign and 3H needs to be ground to turn on the main relay (which feeds the fuel pump relay, injectors, valves and sensors).
I'll add this information to my how-to.
Is this for all 01-05's ?

4t is vref from the alt, if i'd realized that I would have use it for the alt circuit.

On another note, on the MSMs there is a 2nd IAT which is on pin 4R, (I'm going to tap into those wires and run a GM open IAT).

Btw, got the car running pretty well, used the diyautotune 99 map. Stock msm ecu is so crappy, once I get the ebc wired up this car will be completely transformed, and even more awesome in bsp :-)

I would also like to add that setting the zero crossing pots is a bit of a pita. The suggested adjustment didn't work, got the old dmm out and set them and sync is great now.

Fun anecdote... Apparently ms3 has a VSS based AC disable. I apparently managed to set that set to 40mph without realzing it, lol. So until I can get to the car again his ac only works below 32mph or so as I neglected to set the tire diameter right. lololol.

User request from bracket racers IIRC.

So.... as it turns out, e85 with rx8 yellows on a mazdaspeed are definitely on the edge if you want to max out the turbo. I was seeing around 100% duty at 11.8:1 AFR (gas scale) at 6k rpm at 170kpa with 85 degree mat temps. GM Mat installed in begi intake elbow (right before TB basically).... So for blytheville it'll be ok cause its gonna be 900 thousand degress out there, but if he wants to drive it hard at night AFR safety system might rain on the fun.... Until they put some bigger injectors in it anyway.

By any chance does one of you have a base map for the msm I could use? I'm about to install a msm motor once I finish my ms3x.

I seriously just laughed so hard I semi choked and started coughing.
Aside from that, all this MS3 talk is making me want to ditch my ms2.
