MS2 USERS OF 09 PLS HELP ME
Hello friends,
I am presented with a pretty annoying situation to be honest.
This is my first encounter with ms and its tuning softwares,
The current dilemma is that i am on ANCIENT 2009 (firmware release ms2 extra 2.1.0 release 20090627. )
and i NEED to pull an old map off the ms2 before attempting to update.
Now here is the issue, i turn too you all because i honestly have nowhere else to go. I CANNOT find this version of this firmware anywhere on the internet.
The ecu already has a perfect tune on it that i would like 2 save, but the problem is that the ecu and the computer that i am attempting to connect are not the originals.
Therefore in my limited understanding the best way 2 save a map already on the ecu is to load up another on the same firmware and let it autocorrect In a sense. and then save as
The one link that worked and was viable led me to the megasquirt page where it was UNAVAILABLE.
Now before anyone starts to roast my *** because Im a noob, here are my 3 questions.
Tuner studios CLEARLY warns me that linking a different firmware batch is dangerous for the current map on the ecu.
Again i have: firmware release ms2 extra 2.1.0 release 20090627. ) The megasquirt serial being Ms2Extra REV 2.1.0p
1) I have done my research and the only versions that i can find is 2.1.0e and or the "jim stim" (not sure what that truly means) 2.0.3 firmwares available.
My question: will it brick itself and ruin the map on the ecu if i attempt 2 open the project on either of these firmwares?
2) DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY HAVE THIS SPECFIC FIRMWARE? IT WOULD SAVE ME SO MUCH TROUBLE PLEASE HELP. EMAIL (ZONEORIGINS@GMAIL.COM)
3) If i can't find the firmware what is the best way of going about pulling the map on the ecu without corrupting the file?
Thank you, any input would be much appreciated in this situation.
Literally all im trying to do is load this map up so i can set my base timing and get it to read my aem wideband. It has a beautiful warm up ve table from what i can tell but then struggles to run when warmed up due to what i can only guess is not enough fuel (aka the car gets confused what 2 too when its warmed up because A. the base timing is probably off. B. It had a lc1 that made me want 2 die and never worked right, so i upgraded to a aem uego x wideband. )
It is just incredibly frustrating to get to this point and old firmware that apparently dosent exist anymore get in the way. I have faith one of you geniuses will have the file.
PLEASE HELP ME. PLEASE, I JUST WANT 2 DRIVE THE DAMN THING.
