MS2 Spark Advance Inconsistency in MLV vs Tunerstudio
I was checking out a recent log in Megalogviewer and took a look at my sparkadv chart which I almost never do.
I noticed that during full throttle pulls or heavy throttle pulls, sparkadv in MLV shows as being well below my target spark advance table targets in tunerstudio.
I checked the MAT compensation tables and any other compensation tables I could think of which could affect ignition advance and none of them seem to come into play in the load/temperature areas I'm operating in.
As you can see, my sparkadv is dropping as low as 5.6 degrees, despite my lowest values on my entire table being about 13.5, or 17 in the areas I'm currently viewing.
Any ideas what the reason for this could be? Something I'm overlooking or just an oddity with Megalogviewer not showing the true ignition values?
Thanks

So its more of an incompatibility of the latest megalog viewer with the old firmware vs the megasquirt actually commanding the wrong values?
I really should update the firmware. I did something way back when I first installed megasquirt in 2011 where I thought that I bricked the MS after a firmware upgrade attempt and have been a bit gun shy ever since. It works fine so I never really saw a reason to risk it again.
