Default MS1 Tune help Noob

Hello, just joined this forum. Can anyone help me with a megasquirt 1 tune? I'm completely new to this. Bought someone else's project car (I know, but it was cheap). Using tunerstudio. No clue if I'm even asking the right questions or giving the right info.
Specs:
90 Miata
1.8L built - 94
90 tranny
550cc rc engineering injectors
GT28rs turbo w/manual boost adjuster
Innovate LC-1 or MTX-L? Can't tell

From all the reading I've done, everything is on the MS2, as well as most things use completely different settings. I have a few issues I'm running into.
1. AFR table is in volts. Read that ms1 has some sort of volt table you use in config file to convert to AFR for o2 sensors and some values don't transfer over correctly? When selecting any 3 base options for the Innovate I 0-5v default, mtx-l 0-5v, and 1-2v, I get errors about units not converting and the car will not run. For some reason it runs fine if I select narrowband, but obviously the o2 readings are off on tunerstudio.
2. Car only runs on base map for a few seconds. I did somewhat confirm timing and it seems correct mechanically, or at least close (I have no lower timing cover to be 100% accurate and line the marks up). Base map trigger angle is 65 and current map is 48. Huge difference. Not sure exactly why it's so off.
The boost gauge wasn't going into boost when I first got it running, but it definitely has enough power to get wheel spin easily. I don't think the map is tuned properly for boost, but I honestly can't tell with the settings. If anyone can help me understand what exactly is going on with this current map I'd appreciate it. I want to tune using speed density (alpha n was used it looked like) and get the right o2 readings in the car, as well as figure out how not to mess up my car when/if I need to change ignition settings. So, overall, I was hoping if someone could just give me an overall "review" of the current map and if anything is really out of wack. And main goal is to get it running nice enough to be able to drive 45 minutes to the shop with no damage.

I have pictures of the side by side comparison with the current map and base map if that's helpful.
