MegaLogViewer wont show knock after logging. tried messing with the min/max settings for the scale with no success.

Oem knock sensor?

You sure there's continuity and the wires don't terminate somewhere?

Just saying because I installed a knock sensor and it only read a bumpy 2%. I sent my megasquirt back to brain he confirmed that it was working. Reinstalled and still nothing. One of the wires was severed under the insulation. Replaced the sensor (oem to miata) and worked fine.

You might not throw a cel if there was no knock to detect. As in, it's not registering because of failure.

That and if using oem sensors, there's literature for settings. The easiest low cost thing is to check your sensor, and maybe jump the input to ground to see if it registers

If it's not a wiring issue, then it might be the dashpots out of spec inside the ms unit. contact the builder for troubleshooting

Finally had some time to mess with my car (lotsa family over right now), I turned the car on, started datalogging and figured if I whacked the engine with a hammer hard enough it would detect knock. I hit the with a steel mallet and now my car wont start?????

I found if you put water into the cylinders with the spark plugs out it helps the ECU pick up some knock. Give it a shot and report back.

Oh man not as many rustled jimmies as I was expecting.. The real reason I wasnt getting knock was because knock detection was turned off in the tune. Miataman has been helping me with everything and the car runs as smooth as butter now
