Default Knock Sensors/ Det cans?

Hey guys. Just supercharged my Miata and many people(including me) think a knock sensor is a good idea. COOL! I did a bit of searching trying to figure out how one usually goes about this to no avail. Is there a perscribed/standard method/setup for setting up a knock sensor with an MS? When I installed the engine I left the factory 02 knock sensor on the engine with wiring because I had no reason to remove it. Any way I can use that? Thanks in advance everyone.

Unless I am mistaken, you will need to add the knock sensor board that is for sale at DIYautotune and wire it up according to their instructions. You will find some threads here with knock sensor settings. My settings may be wrong otherwise I would be sharing them...

you want det cans. there are hundreds of threads about det cans. search for them.

I would only suggest using the knock sensor if you get a top notch one and run a newer ems, like ms3, but still wouldn't fully trust the stock knock sensor to play nice consistently with it.

I'll probably get to work on something like this.

Would be nifty if I could wire in some other resistors to make it work off the 12V circuit in car.
