Default Jumped Ship

I put the LINK to the curb and ordered up a MS PNP.

The LINK has been great to me in the NA world, but with my transition to FI, it's not going to cut the cheese. I guess my main bitch about the LINK was the fact that I would of had to put a printed circuit board (Intake Temp Sensor) in the intake path. I know many of people have done it, but I'm not a fan.

Time to start the learning curve all over again. Hopefully it wont be as steep this time.

So you are forewarned...You have another PITA heading off into the MS world.

Won't you have to use an IAT sensor with the PNP as well?

yes, but the LINK IAT is a sensor on a printed circuit board.

the MS IAT is usually a GM sensor on a thread with no chance of bits falling off etc....

Thanks for the explanation!

Another gripe I had about the LINK was that the IAT was limited to 100C then went into Limp mode.

I am going with a coldside SC with water injection. The IAT will have to be mounted in the intake manifold. Theoretically with WI working my intake temps should never exceed 100C, but that is just theory. I have not found any data to support my theory. I could have been OK, but it was a guessing game.

Now I don't have to guess.

The MS software is about 500X easier to use. No having to memorize zone values and zone functions and value conversions. Ugh. Enjoy. And you probably can still sell your Link to cover the cost of the MS

LINK is gone! Used the money to buy the MS, IAT, knocksense, and knock sensor and still have a few $$ left.

You guys are silly- the link is just not that hard. All ecus have different interfaces providing links to the same principal. I think it's the keypad that gives the LINK a bad rap.
