Inverted Coolant Temperatures

Inverted Coolant Temperatures
I have a MSI that I assembled on a 96 in a parallel mode. The coolant temperature reads high, 170 F, and decreases as the engine warms up. The IAT reads in the right direction although I need to get the correct parameters set up in Easytherm.
I have both R7 and R4 removed since I am sharing the CLT and IAT with the stock ecu. I have had the MSI installed for over a year with 3 dpdt switches to switch the injectors and spark between the MSI and stock ecu. I have been running off the stock ecu since tunning with an inverted CLT is no good. A scangauge is also attached so that I can monitor the ODBD II parameters.
I have confirmed that the CLT sensor is wired to the yellow wire, pin 21 , of the MSI via the 3g terminal on the center ecu connector. The voltage of this wire (relative to ground) decreases as the engine warms up. If I remember ohms law correctly this is the correct behavior for a thermistor (CLT sensor) whose resistance drops with increasing temperature.
Reflashing the firmware, 10g, makes no difference.
What did I screw up?
