Innovate Oil Pres/Temp Gauge and MS3X Question
Hi all!
I've read a number of threads about how to incorporate a Oil temp and Oil Pressure sender into my MS3X, unfortunately I'm wondering about how I am may be able to do a little bit of a different setup.
I currently have a innovate oil pressure and temperature gauge setup and I enjoy being able to see those details with the gauge. Link to the particular Gauge setup
Since this is already working / functioning in my car, I was wondering if I could splice the sensor wires to the unused pins on my MS3X? (So I could then data log / setup safeties with the sensor data) [I was thinking pins 21 and 22 on the X board plug]
Thank you,

I enquired about this years ago albeit with a different ECU. The answer is no, can't be done.
Innovate gauges can be daisy chained but the data stream from their "dual gauges" is unreadable by ECUs (innovates own "language").
Also splicing sensors is a big no no. It'll likely to change the resistance and throw off the readings.
Best bet is to sell the dual gauge setup and install a temp and pressure sensor straight to your ecu, then put something like the GaugeArt CAN gauge etc in the spot the dual gauge was in. Then you can display almost any reading from the ECU on the gauge, not just oil temp and pressure.
Bonus is you'll then be able to set oil pressure and temp safeties in the ECU and have these display on the gauge as well!
