I have a built MS3x... now what?
Hey everyone, there are tons of threads here covering the smallest details, and stickies that are from several years ago, but where do I start? I have:
Can you all direct me to the best resources to get started? Are there any handy step-by-step guides? Has anyone here used a Braineack assembled MS3x in an NB2 that can provide some guidance? Maybe my expectations were wrong, but I thought that if I was using stock injectors to start, I could just use a basemap and be up and running pretty quick.
I boot up TunerStudioMS and start a new project, and it asks me for firmware before I can go any further. Which firmware do I use?
- AEM Wideband
- MS3x
- A 2002 ready to be megasquirted

The steps are pretty much:
hook up the MAP sensor.
hook up the AIT back through the stock connector.
connect MS to laptop.
start car.
once running, you'll need to sync timing and then you can get to tuning fuel and fine tuning settings.
I thought I sent over my docs, I'll do that now.
18psi is the only other NB2 I've built for, but the only difference there is pretty much the VVT stuff.

Braineack - Docs would be great, thanks!
18psi - believe me, I want to be asking more intelligent questions. I've read loads of threads and and have a good idea of the overall picture. I was looking for something more like what Brain just posted as a starting point because, exactly as you said, I don't know what question to ask. Getting a unit assembled by someone else is kind of like jumping in part way through and I don't know what has already been done and what the next step is. Once I have firmware and base maps loaded and have everything hooked up, then if I have a specific issue I'll know what to search for or ask for. I'll really appreciate your help and expertise when I'm at that point. Thanks for the offer!
