Default Higher boost, help with timing map

So I've recently upgraded to rx-8 yellow injectors, and I'm turning up the boost with a no-name manual boost controller. My setup is a greddy td04 turbo, greddy manifold, open 2" downpipe, mspnp2, small ebay fmic, zero boost leaks, 11lb cm flywheel/stage 2 clutch. I'm also getting quite a bit of boost droop. 17-12 psi at 6500 redline, another issue that I would like some help with. Here's a log of that run, in 4th gear, and also my tune file with a little bit of timing pulled from that run as power fell off quite hard at the end of the run. I know this seems like a lot of boost, but my power numbers are 225hp/240tq according to virtual dyno. Since power fell off so hard on that run, I assumed there was too much timing up top. Is it okay now? what/where should I change on it? Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

you have a 1.6L.

you drop to 12psi at redline. 225hp makes sense to me.

search: Helper Spring

timing vaules look pretty safe without being conservative.

Is 17 psi too much do you think?

You have provided a minuscule amount of data for us to make any judgment of any kind, in regards to your power goal and or potential..

It is a 1.6 as Brain said. Power goal is 230/250. But that log plugged into virtual dyno, power falls on it's face above ~5800. I forgot to mention that it's not the stock greddy wastegate. It's a kinigauawa at 1/2 bar. I've given you a log and the tune. What else would you want?

Okay, thanks!

I was told it had wiseco 8.5:1 when I bought it. But stock rods... Not sure I believe it.

Without knowing what is inside, I would say you are already at your limit. Hp and tq life expectancy of all your gear, is a search away. On this site.

I'm aware of the limits of the stock motor, trans ect. I'm just wondering if my timing map is ideal or close to it. In that dyno graph power takes a hard dive at the end. I would like to make it more flat.

at 17psi youre making ~250rwtq.

stock, the car has like 80.

250tq minus 80 tq = 170tq gained from turbo.

170tq / 17psi = 10tq per boost level.

you're dropping from 17psi at peak to 12psi at readline, so you're giving up roughly 50tq at redline.

150tq + 50tq = 200tq.

200tq @ 7000rpm = ~266hp.

again, search: helper spring.

I've read up on it. I may run to the hobby store and drill out the bracket and see what it does for me. I take it I should turn down the boost a tad to compensate for the extra pressure?

You need to worry about peak load, rpm doesn't matter. 240-250rwtq is limit for your rods and can still bend there.

Money Pit, That's how I bought the car. I'll be switching to a 6 speed when I build my motor.
