Help! Engine cutting out
I've had a small issue with the engine cutting out on occasion ever since I've installed the MS3 on my 01. Thought it was the same thing that I've heard people talking about on the forum. It rarely happened and wasn't really a nuisance.
This morning I'm on my way to a track event and the problem has escalated and the car is damn near un-drivable and seems to be getting worse. Currently stuck at a McDonald's Motorsports using the wifi and I'm worried that I might actually damage something if I continue to drive the car towards the track or even try to make it back home.
Here's what I've tried to do. Several different tunes to include the initial base tune that Reverant sent me with the MS. Same issue doing that. Looking at my logs seems to confirm that it's not an actual tuning issue, but possibly a hardware issue. Can someone take a quick look at these logs and give me a second opinion. Not sure what constitutes a reset, but it seems to have the symptoms of that.

losing sync.
youre getting these:
31 = Miata 99-00 - 2 cams not seen
32 = Miata 99-00 - 0 cams seen
when i open your msq it's not set to "miata 99-00" in ignition options/wheel decoder, but "EDIS"

That's weird, when I open it and go under Ignition Settings, Ignition Options/Wheel Decoder it shows Miata 99-04 when I look at it.
I'll try to load it again and verify that. It would really be nice if it the fix is that simple. Thanks in advance.

could have have been differences in the firmware i loaded your map with. but all the logs show that your losing sync.
obviously your map has you running 99-04 if the errors are showing miata specific ones.

It shows 99-04 properly when I opened it. I didn't have this issue at all for the 2+ weeks I had it running on mine.
Can you take a composite log? Go to Diagnostics, check "Capture to log file" and then click Start. Drive some until you get the problem happening. Stop and post the log file.

Just got back home and I'm going to start swapping out parts. I'll start by checking everything again first. Then I'll swap in a spare CAS and crank sensor.
Here's a couple more logs also.

Ok, swapped the crank sensor (verified the wheel is tight also), cam sensor, tps and iac with known good sensors and the problem remains. Then I unplugged megasquirt and plugged back in the stock ecu along with the stock O2 and IAT. The car runs great on the oem ecu. This doesn't really tell me much, but I do feel confident in saying it most likely isn't one of the sensors. Plugged the MS back in and the problem returns immediately.

Went through the entire harness and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. Unmounted everything and re-installed it back in the car and no change. Nothing appeared to be loose or out of place anywhere. Here's a couple more logs from my last drive. Any last ideas before I remove the MS from the car?
