Default Engine stumbles when holding revs

Just put together a rebuilt 1.9 motor, new everything, pistons, rings, bears, rods, etc etc.

Trying to break the engine in, but I'm having issues with the car keeping steady revs. If I progressively add throttle through out the rpms it will rev up fine. But if I hold the throttle at any % (20%) the engine will rev up to that rev, and dip and rev back up and repeat itself until I either let off, or if I gradually add more throttle. however hitting the throttle quickly doesn't choke the engine, seems like it just has issues holding steady revs.

When I'm driving the car, its almost like I'm giving it gas, then releasing, then giving it gas again but really fast . Which makes the drivetrain unhappy and makes me look like I don't know how to drive stick lol

Here's a video:

Timing is good
Coil Pack is good
Coil wires should be good, but I'm changing them out for COPs soon anyways so.
Turbo is installed but not connected

Currently running MS3PNP and I'm pretty sure base setting is set. such as displacement, injector size and etc.

The IACV is open to astrosphere, not sure if that will cause this kind of issue, but I tried both with the IACV connected and disconnected and I'm still have the same issue.

Another thing I'm speculating is a clogged fuel filter or bad pump. Although on my fuel gauge, it seems like its flowing fine. Could my fuel pressure be off?

Could a bad base map cause this? it may of been autotuned with bad AFR readings.

will post some datalogs in the morning, any help would be great!

If someone could explain to me what's going on, looks like the MAP shoots down when rev climbs.

I also do not have a IAT sensor installed atm, could this cause the car to act like this?

My thought was that I didn't need a IAT atm as my turbo isn't hooked up and would be fine to run without, NA.

Not having an IAT sensor is bad, look how it jumps up and down, think corrections and stuff.

But your REAL problem is THIS:

Where do people get these shitty "base maps" from lately? The spark table is horrible, too, but thats a minor problem atm.

Get IAT sensor, calibrate and fix all your **** (IACV plumbing) and start with a better base map from trubo kitty and start tuning

I used the base map that was provided from diyautotune, but I think because my AFR gauge wasn't matching up with TS, and it autotuned it in a really funky way. Changed the 12v source and now it matches up with TS.

Tried out turbokittys base map and it fixed my issue! car idles somewhat, and doesn't sputter while revving!

Now I can focus on hooking everything else up before tuning, thanks for the help!

No prob.

Do not autotune low load cells, it tries to pull too much fuel and acts wonky there. You can set a custom filter for autotune >35kpa per example and change low load cells by hand.
You can also lock these cells, in case you forget the filter.

Have fun
