diypnp ignition advance problem
how yas I have a 99 turbo miata with a diypnp. we had it on the dyno today and set the base timing fine. we then noticed as you rev it the car would read (cant remember exact figures now) 10 degrees on car and ten on tuner studio but as revs increased the timing would advance a lot more on tuner studio than it did on the car. anybody have this issue before. thanks

You have said opposite things. First post said car is advancing less than TS. If that is what you mean, then the car is regarding RETARDING vs what MS is telling it to. That does sound like a latency issue.
If TS shows lots of advance, that is because your ignition table is calling for it. Fix that with the timing (ignition) table.

(Edit) Never mind did not read your post carefully and was thinking that you had the same problem I had...
You should look at this thread if you run ls2 truck coils.

...Even though you just said it stays exactly where you set it?
please leave out as much detail as possible.
Do you understand the confusion?
You just said:
when the timing is locked at 10 degrees we see 10 degrees with a timing light on the car and stays that way when reved.
but continue to state:
the timing is still advancing more than even than the table is asking for.
