confused about parallel fan wiring... what pertains to me?
So I have tried to STFF, and I'm confused over what I'm reading. The news is either old or it works on a 90-93 1.6, but maybe not a 1.8
My setup is a '95 1.8 engine, DIYAutotune MSPNP 1. The car has AC, but it's dormant (no belt on the compressor), and I haven't been running AC at all since going turbo in 2014.
What I want to do is wire up the AC fan so that it turns on when the cooling fan does so that I have more air pulled through the radiator whenever the fans come on.
I've seen Hakuna's little write-up on parallel wiring at https://www.miata.net/hakuna/paralle...%20wiring.html but I've been warned that this is for a 1.6 and I shouldn't try it.
I've also seen Savington's post from 2008 about jumpering the fan control wires AT the ECU. https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...-wiring-30509/
Is this still considered the best method of doing what I want?

I can show some pictures of how I did it exactly on my '94 tonight, but I just reused the stock condenser fan relay. Looking at my car, other than not seeing the compressor/bracket/etc you would never know. I just re-pinned the adjacent relay to trigger off the cooling fan at the ECU as I recall. I have to look again tonight because its been a couple years they are both just simple negative trigger, so I just soldered the AC fan -> Main fan pin.
I did not want to run the load of both fans through one relay, although I'm sure its fine. I also figured since all the wiring and relays were there anyway, so why not use it vs. adding a net-new relay.
Circled the relay I'm talking about. I removed the compressor clutch relay and wiring to clean it up. Plus it gives me a spare relay.
