d'oh, that was it! I kept trying to type over the damn text when I had it open in the configurator, totally missed the drop down menu..

On the plus side, I LOVE VE ANALYZER!!!! It's almost like cheating! I did it after a 15 minute datalog, it runs so much smoother! I tried another log, but my WGA slipped off of the flapper (retaining wire went on vacation), so I'll hold off on the second log.

Any way I can save my default AFR, so I don't have to fat-finger them in every time I go to VEA?

cjernigan 04-24-2008 05:53 PM

As a quick fix you can export that table and import it each time you want it.

Ben 04-24-2008 05:58 PM

i've never had to re-enter my table. it stuck the first time.

cjernigan 04-24-2008 06:01 PM

If you enter the tables in Megatune is should save it correctly the first time. If you modify the table in MLV it will never save it. Pretty sure there is a warning for that in MLV.

Ben 04-24-2008 07:04 PM

nope, I've never saved that table in MT. In fact, don't know where in MT I'd save a 12x12 target table. The table always sticks in MLV.

kotomile 04-24-2008 08:27 PM

You can reach the default AFR (target) table from megatune?

Oh well, I'm going to be logging more now, but damn if just that first VE session didn't get the fuel 90% done!

Braineack 04-24-2008 08:31 PM

you cant reach the default table from MT, only MLV. It's within the program and saves.

from MLV you can reach afrbin1 and afrbin2 from the msq that you setup in MT.

cjernigan 04-24-2008 08:39 PM

I'm kind of out of the loop it seems. Haven't had megatune let alone windows open in what seems like 3 or more weeks. Can't believe i never new the default table existed. When was that added to MLV? Or has it been there all this time.

Braineack 04-25-2008 07:57 AM

I'm assuming with the "shareware" version. before it used to be a defaultNB map or something, same 8x8 setup for narrowband.

kotomile 05-08-2008 01:59 PM

Man, I'm getting some sort of nasssty hiccup when trying to go WOT. Boost is around 9 psi, maybe spark blowout? The gauge shows 9 psi and then starts to climb rapidly after 4k RPM. Maybe I can blame that on the WI, in that it might cause boost creep where there otherwise wouldn't be any?

Still getting a hot start issue, but only when the car is really warm. It seems too lean, but the gauge can sometimes show more than 200* if the car's been sitting for a couple minutes after being shut off, but of course the cranking table stops at 160*...

devin mac 05-08-2008 02:01 PM

what did you do to fix the mildly warm start issues, koto?

Braineack 05-08-2008 02:13 PM

post datalog of the event. could be a few things.

lean hot restarts can be solved with the CLT based air density corrections. turn it to AIT correction under advanced and then proceed to give it lots of fuel past 80°F IIRC im at 150% at 120°F

devin mac 05-08-2008 02:28 PM

so those corrections DO come into play during cranking? would that depend on what your "cranking rpm" is set at in the "more cranking stuff" menu?

and, i'd be curious to see a log of this too, koto. i had a similar thing happen a few times making pulls last night on the new injectors. lemme see if i can dig one of them up...

kotomile 05-08-2008 05:03 PM

I'll take a log on the way in tomorrow, then.

took a log of it, whatcha think?

Braineack 05-09-2008 09:45 PM

event at 324sec?

I'd say you may need the .1uF cap.

kotomile 05-10-2008 06:23 AM

Yup, thereabout, that little WOT run. Nothing in the log stands out to me as to why its doing it, except maybe that little CLT spike?
