Closed loop- only on starts...
Hey all. I have my car running pretty well on Brain's MS3.
One item that is stumping me- when I warm start the car- it goes right into CL idle and idles great. If I blip the throttle, it (obviously) comes out of CL, but it won't go back in.
Thoughts?

I bet a nickel you are running outside closed loop idle entry parameters after that throttle blip.
You shouldn't try and use closed loop idle to calm down crazy idle speed issues, you should fix whatever is making the engine race. You will never get consistent and useful closed loop idle if you don't.

Sorry- posted.
Side note- not trying to tune crazy idle speeds with closed loop. The car is idling well both open and closed loop. It just seems I should be going back into closed loop in real world settings.

you have strong vacuum. tune the Max Decel Load(%). if it's still set at 29.5 then you'll never kick back into CL because your vacuum stays well under that value. That's tuned assuming you idle around 31-32-33-34% load at idle. CL wont kick back in until the load goes higher than 29.5 again.
