Default CAS for FE swap.

Hello everyone, I am here for some help. I own a 90 Probe GT that I am swaping an FE-DOHC engine into and am running MSnS. I was wondering which year and model would have the CAS that fits into the FE with 4 outer windows and the single inner window? Thank you in advance, Nick

I have been using MSnS for over two years now in the probe and I love it. I ran it on the stock Probe GT (turbo) engine (F2T) and made 325hp and 350ft lbs:

I now have decided to go with the FE, much better flow and overall much stronger and a GT35r ball bearing turbo. Here are some pics of my progress:

And here is the car:

Sorry for the long post, but I figured I would introduce myself as well. It's not a Miata, but it is a Mazda Thanks for looking, Nick

you need a 1.6L optical cas that you use to mod the stock fe3 optical plate. I am getting ready to do the same mod for the fe3 im building for my miata but I'm having trouble finding an optical cas. The problem is that there is a magnetic version and a optical version. I have had something posted in the wtb section here for around 2 weeks now and havent gotten anything.

I overheard Rob explain it once, but I had too much Warsteiner in me to retain. I want to say that his FE is driven off a mechanical distributor, so he rigged a sensor to monitor distributor revolutions...

Hopefully he'll chime in.

You need to use the cam drive and housing of the FE dizzy and the rest of the Miata CAS with the cap. Optical CAS is 90-92. Once you take them both apart it makes perfect sense. You'll be making far more power with much less boost once this is together!
