Default Canbus wires on Older MSLabs MS3Basic

I have a 93 Miata with a 00 VVT engine swap that has an older style MSLabs MS3Basic just like the one pictured in this post.

https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...-pinout-95667/

Using the provided Pin out I do not see the CAN H/L wiring, anyone has any idea which pins they may be on?

I am installing a DDefi digital dash pro and eventually want to use it to add a Fuel pressure sensor and a oil pressure/temperature sensor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Post 3 in your link has the PDF and says to check page 18 through 20. It looks like your spreadsheet doesn’t have everything. Hopefully whoever built it brought the CAN wiring to the main connectors.

Its an MSLabs unit that came with the car when I bought it so it is built by Rev.

I know they use a different board so I can't use the pinout in the PDF link.

If anything it looks like I can use:

EXTM_MAP - For oil Pressure
EGO2 - For Oil temp
SPARE ADC - fuel pressure

And hoping I can swap the FLEX out from VSS to utilize Flex Fuel.

Kinda sucks to have dropped the extra coin on the expander board from DDefi and not be able to use it, but If I can feed the GPS speed info into a datalog and use it for ECU functions via the USB connection and the above 3 inputs work I'll be golden until I can my funds together for a K swap and the eventually swap over to Haltech.

I've been "unfucking" this car since I bought it so kinda par for the course at this point. Knew what I was getting into but damn some of the decisions made by the PO have left me bewildered...

This ECU must have been built around 2012. CAN was non-existent back then, and as we were making the transition from MS2 to the MS3, the abundant I/O on the MS3 made it clear that CAN expansion would not be needed (just like that sweet 640K of RAM would not need to be expanded). 99% your MS3 doesn't have CAN brought out but it is really easy to do it if you can solder two wires.

Thanks for the response Rev!

Soldering the wires shouldn't be an issue and I can do it or at least find someone that can.

I don't really plan to go much further in plans of what I listed in my last post but would be nice to have the info in case that changes.

Since I will be utilizing GPS for speed, would wiring a flex sensor into the current VSS(top DB37, Pin14, Port PE2) be viable or should I use Pin 34 on the same connector?

Thanks for your time

You can use flex directly. The 90-93 VSS is a joke anyway and you will be using GPS.
