Spark should advance between 5k and redline. So unless you have a 455 cubic inch Oldsmobile engine in your Miata that redlines at 5100 rpm you may wish to consult a tuner with Miata experience.

There are probably as many hardparking dudebros claiming to be tuners as there are claiming to be drifters. He may be a nice guy but he's not the right guy.

This "tuner" is an idiot. Consult an actual tuner.
Your VE table is absolute diarrhea.
Spark table aint great but not scaling past 5k is insanely idiotic.
Basically, you need a real tune. This aint it.

I agree on both of you that it seems like the tune can improve a lot. I'm not in a terrible afr zone in boost so I guess I have that going for me. It's just very difficult to find anyone that can help who has a good track record. Any guy I find wants to charge a lot and then I find out they aren't that great either. Do you think autotune would be a better option at this point? I should have said I am supercharged (mp62 hotside, fmic, flowforce coils with fic 1000s). I also have dual throttle bodies with a 75mm at the charger.

I also wanted to share the info i had regarding my injector deadtime. This is the info i have and this is what i put in my mspnp2 in case you dont want to go back into the tune and check.
flow:1190cc
Deadtime: 1.178
Voltage offset: .180
this was given to me for my nb miata which I was told has higher fuel pressure at idle.

Can either of you elaborate on why my ve table values seem to be higher at idle compared to different ve tables on this website? Is it the fact that im running 1000cc injectors plus the higher NB fuel pressure at idle? Could it be something else? All my fueling hardware is relatively new except my fuel filter that was changed less than 20k miles ago. 1 month old stock equivalent fuel pump.

Where are you located? If you're lucky someone nice may be local to you.

I'm in Illinois on the Iowa/Illinois border. I have one lead but the person does not communicate well. I understand the person is busy but I have no idea on when he will be ready. He was recommended by a local to me so I know he's decent.
