Default Afr issue

I had to pull my Reverent built MS3 to run a new vacuum line. After I reinstalled it my AEM afr gauge, which draws it's power from the MS, didn't power up. When I looked in tuner studio it was reading 19.7 afr, at idle. Shut car off. Did I do something to my computer, or is the sensor not working.

I took a **** and I had diarrhea, am I sick or did I have Taco Bell for lunch?

How are we supposed to know what you did based on the information you provided?

Maybe try running power to the WB from some other source and see if something happens.

I can jump a hot line from the battery, if it's not too strong. If it gets the gauge working, I'll find a better power source, then I guess I can drive the car. I'm more concerned about tuner studio not reading.

That gauge outputs a voltage signal to the megasquirt. If the gauge isn't working the megasquirt will read full lean because it sees zero voltage from the gauge. Fix the gauge and you'll fix the reading in TS.

Explaining like that makes much more sense to me now. I'll give it a shot and hope for the best. Wiring and electronics problems are my worst nightmare.

Ran a hot line to the gauge and no difference. I cut the ground and put it on a known good ground and BAM the gauge and tuner studio worked. Thanks guys.

I'm glad you got it worked out. While you're in there make sure your ground connections are connected to bare metal and free of paint/rust/gunk etc. Grounding issues can be frustrating and difficult to diagnose at times. Best to take precautions to avoid them when possible
