Default 36-1 trigger question

We've changed to a 36-1 crank and single tooth cam wheel on our 01 endurance car with fancy '99 motor. Punched out the double nubs on the cam gear on the intake side. Changed settings in tunerstudio accordingly but all I get is cranky cranky no start.

What did I overlook and need to change for sequential goodiness?

Rev built MS3, 01 chassis/wiring/sensors, built '99 motor, 36-1 protege crank wheel, single tooth cam wheel on intake side, VVT coils, oem injectors.

Just for future reference there is a modified 99-00 mode in there now that let's you use the 36-1 and the stock cam (2+1) trigger pattern!

Its a 36-2 tooth mode, apparently.

So you would need to grind a tooth off the trigger wheel.

Yeah, my bad. It's the Flyin Miata 36-2 wheel that I have.

I looked at the code just now and I could probably write a decoder for 36-1 and 2-1 cam

The 36-1 syncs perfectly fine with the single tooth cam. I had to punch out two dowel pins. Oem gears need grinding.

It would be more than just grind a tooth. You would need to grind a tooth and ensure that real tooth #1 is in the same position as FM's wheel. IOW, the missing teeth would need to be in the same place.

FM wheel and protege wheel have missing teeth in different locations, not gonna work. Not sure about the supermiata timing wheel.
