Default [NB1, MS PNP] Using stock purge valve for EBC

Hello, this is my first post here, but I've been using the site for a long time for advice.
I've been setting up my built 99' NB recently with a MS PNP and I've been very confused about ECU wiring. My question is how do I set up megasquirt to control the stock purge valve signal wire (I guess its considered a signal ground) for use with EBC?
When I look at the pinout for the stock wiring, that wire is 3L, and the pinout on the megasquirt tells me that its "N/C" or not connected. So does this mean I have to physically alter the megasquirt like jumping something? I'm just at a loss.

I apricate any help/answers, thank you

N/C means there is no connection from the board to the header. You won’t be able to drive that pin without custom work to the board and possibly custom firmware.

is there a reason you’re not planning on using the boost pin in the options port?

Ah I see. The reason I wasn't going to use the options port was just ease of access (and the fact that I've never done it before and didn't have any of the wire connectors that plug into the port), I saw someone talking about using the purge valve connection like it was super easy so I just sniped the connection and hooked it up without thinking about it.

Do you think I could unhook the 3L wire and just plug it into the options port? Or should I just admit that I messed up and run a new wire?

Yes, you could move the 3L wire to the options port on 2L. I don’t know if the ECU pins are the same as the options connector, but crimping a new pin is straight forward. You can get the options connector and pins from DIYAutotune.

As to whether to use a new wire or the existing one, that’s personal preference. Both will work and can made to look clean.
