Turbomiataing for some time. Where have you clowns been?
Yay! Another forum! Member of Miata.net and various others relating to my other toys: WRX (holy **** those guys have an alarming number of forums), Forester, W123 Diesel Benz (sold that one not long ago), Porsche 944 (race prepped for ChumpCar and LeMons)
The Mazda is a 1996 M Edition with a Flyin Miata kit (BEGI 4.2) that was invoiced in 2002. My buddy bought the car about 4 years ago with everything installed as is, and I bought it from him about 3 years ago, I think.
It's never quite run right. When I got it, it was quite terrible. After chasing the problems for a few months. Cleaning the injectors made a huge difference. It's drivable, but the engine bogs above about half throttle. I've just dealt with it since it was just an evening runabout, and it made all the right turboey noises.
Now I want to get it sorted. I pulled the injectors to clean them again thinking I just didn't get it done all the way before. We'll see.
Anyway, I dropped a fuel rail bolt spacer pulling it apart earlier and was searching for solutions when I found this forum, so here I am!
I'm in Atlantic Beach, near Jacksonville, FL. My user name is an allusion to my race team, Floridiot Motorsports. find us on facebook. We raise hell and race old shitty Porsches
Cheers!!!
