Turbo Roadster from NZ
Hello all, my name's Kasey and I've been lurking for about a year.
I have been reading up and gathering as much information as possible to complete my own turbo swap, albeit much easier than many others, all I had to do was swap in an already turbo'd 1.6 motor, ECU tuned for said motor, exhaust, intercooler and pipes, etc from another MX5.
Recently with the help of my uncle and some locals we've got the engine in and running (sometimes, damnit!) and in the final stages of having a pretty fun streetable car that'll see the occasional trackday.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, questioning Fae's thought process and photography.
The car was stock apart from the aftermarket headunit when I purchased it, as it is now I have done:
1.8 Brakes front and rear with Carbotech pads (XP10 front XP8 rear) and braided lines
TD04 turbo with full 2.5" exhaust
Aluminium radiator
Flying Miata Stage 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel
LINK G2 with G3 update ECU – Laptop tuneable
HSD Adjustable coilovers
Lorber 15x7's +28 ET
Carbonmiata CF headlight cover
Rollbar
My goals are to make the car a very fun street car that'll see some track use, but I do not want to fall into the pit of becauseracecar, I enjoy driving this car on the road too much to make it a race car.
Be gentle .
