Cool Turbo Miata from Costa Rica

Hi there! I'm new to this forum although I've consumed information from it in the past. I'm from Argentina but I live in Costa Rica and I recently completed a turbo build on my 1993 Mazda Miata NA (an MX5 really).

Forged internals, TD05H, 28" Intercooler, 2.5" Intercooler piping and 2.5" exhaust with a MF muffler. I'm using an FMU for now but I have a Megasquirt waiting to be installed.

Here's a video of my first time at the track with it being turbo, it last Sunday on something costarricans call Interclubes:

More to come!

Welcome to the forum! I don't think we have others from Costa Rica here. What are your plans for the car?

The light colored 4 door car at the end was running a much better driving line than you were!

Welcome!

Forged innards eh? So when's the bigger turbo going in? After the megasquirt?

Also... prepare for the style bar hate.

Thanks shooter, I think I will mega-squirt it and that would be all, I own several other cars and it's a little hard to keep up with them all (financially)...but the car goes great, I'm pretty happy with it. In the video, you can't obviously tell, but my aircon/ps belt snapped so I wasn't going as fast as I could...and regarding the racing line, I suck at racing, I enjoyed it a lot but I'm not good at it

I think the TD05 is big enough, I have it blowing 10 psi but after the mega I will increase the boost a little bit...also, I HATE the style bar so much, with all my heart, but it's a requirement for racing, so I have to have it. I could also get a hardtop to avoid it, but they are VERY rare down here...

That bar is unsafe for racing. It's decorative, not structural.

But you could maybe add a zip line between the hoops since you're in CR.

Yeah, I didn't say it's safe, but if I don't have it, I can't race...the hardtop sucks too and can't take any impacts, so I'm not very concerned there =P
