What's up guy's?
Not sure I did this the last time I was around 4-5 years ago. I’ve been messing with cars for the last 11 years and have been blessed to have some awesome cars but I always focused on modding them. I had the intention of going to the track but funds never allowed for both as unfortunately I had my blinders on with unrealistic goals. Whether it be my multiple swapped e30's when I first started out and then really entered the rabbit whole with a 2000 Subaru 2.5rs that I swapped to a 06 wrx drivetrain (total money pit, total piece of ****).
While I was building my Subaru I needed a daily driver as it proved to be incredible unreliable and I wound up with a 95 Miata. I quickly fell in love with the car as it was so simple and started to backburner the Subaru. It quickly became stripped out and started doing suspension mods. Wound up running some re-valved Bilstein with GC Coils and it was amazing. Unfortunately that car was hit and i parted it out which was a huge mistake as I should have bought another shell and swapped everything over but since that day I have been itching to get back in one.
Well I am finally back with a 91 rust free SE BRG that I plan to develop into a 949 95R clone. I am not diving right into the VVT swap as I would like to develop it with the 1.6 as it’s still strong and once it gets tired I will take the plunge with a 1.8 VVT setup.
My goals are to get on track as much as possible finally and hone my driving skills. Hopefully in the process I can get some local spec Miata guys to learn about the supermiata series and sell them on the idea of building a car for the class so we can get the ball rolling on the east coast.
