Noob (well kinda) 97 miata Mesa AZ
names chris everyone calls me chef. now that that is out of the way..
been browsing the Info on the pages here for a few months now. figured I would at least introduce myself and show you all my car.... nothing special just a 97 Miata. was originally dark blue. primer atm due to being indecisive on what color I actually want to paint the car. but here goes nothing... here is a list of stuff done to that car since I have gotten it and also lots was done just before it came into my possession.
Engine is 84.5 mm bore, 11:1, exhintake cam, Evo 8 fuel pump, new tbelt, water pump, alternator, starter, oil pump, rebuilt head. Aluminum radiator, silicone hoses, adjustable fpr. AEM wideband, New plugs and wires. New cat(for emissions) will be removed soon. and Flowmaster Catback.15x7.5 6ULs on 225-50-15 NTO1s.
Engine specs:
Full Engine Rebuild Kit (.020” Over)
Godspeed H-Beam Rods
ARP Headstuds Reman Alternator
Reman Starter
Mazda Comp. Engine Mounts
NGK Spark Plug Wires
YCP 84.5 11:1 CR Pistons
ARP Main studs
DNA Motoring Fuel Pressure Regulator
Ac works great
No heater.
Depowered rack
New clutch.
Fm springs on tokico Illumina shocks.
Front sway bar is not present.need to find a stock one here soon.
short throw shifter kit
No carpet no door panels.
Soft top was removed
hard dog double diagonal with harness bar roll bar
New windshield.
Manual window and mirror.
duckbill lip trunk spoiler
engine damper
I think that's everything. as for TO DO's
ordered my plug and play adaptronic ECU, which will be going in at the same time as my AEM flex fuel sensor that I just ordered. once that is done plan on getting it tuned here in mesa with UMS Tuning. to run flex fuel e85 for track days and weekends and 91 when I decide to take longer trips.also ordered a 19" ultra shield spec Miata seat and I'm getting my crow harness recertified. then the rest of the safety that comes with track cars... FUN!!!!
currently the car is running off the stock ECU and made 98 hp/ 98 tq when i last got a base line last month.
couple pics below to show the progress ill update as i go.
flame suit on so have at it.
