Newb from Dallas area
Hello,
I just bought a 1990 Miata... It is in rough shape but it's got some good engine modifications and it is going to be a fun project.
Right now as far as I can tell it has the following:
The good (I hope):
1.6L with a BEGi turbo kit (intercooled).
Magnaflow muffler
New tires, Faulken Azenis
Spare rear diff, axles, spindles off a 1.8. discs off a 1.8.
The bad:
3rd gear sync is about to die so I just skip 3rd.
Runs so rich my SUV is getting better gas mileage....
Paint job is comical... Looks like a black brushed on paint so thick it takes two hands to open the hood and it bows the hood holder. exaggeration?... (pics to follow).
Immediate plans are to lean it out so it does not look like a diesel truck when it accelerates.
Sand off the 200lbs of paint and start fresh from metal.
Better seats.... can't wait till its ready for the track
