New to turbos
Hello Everyone,
Last summer I got a 2000 miata, which unfortunately had come from the great rust belt. The running gear was alright, a bit of rust here and there, but some smart one must have put a wet donut in the trunk, as its all rusted over(no holes yet). Anyhow im in the process of getting it back in condition and improvement in the way of turbos has crossed my mind. Im fairly new to turbos, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions for making a cheap and reliable 200wtq. Thanks

It's quite possible that there was an acid leak in the trunk from the battery. To cure that, wash with baking soda, clean up rust with wire brush, paint with rustoleum. Get new carpet (assuming you want to keep the carpet) as it will still be acidic. Also, make sure you have an actual Miata battery that vents to the little nipple in the trunk.
Why would someone living in CA buy a rust belt car?? Rust is a killer.
