New to miataturbo
Hello everyone, my name is David, I'm a miataholic, and I'm happy with my addiction. I currently own 2 Miatas, picking up a 3rd this week, I've owned probably 30+ Miatas over the years. I've had a JR M45 supercharger, an MP62 supercharger on a '96 M edition, and now I have the 2003 GRM Challenge winning V8 Miata. I've joined to forum to try to get some people to join my local SCCA region at Nashville Superspeedway for our PDX and Track Trials event April 2-3, 2011. We would love to see some of you guys out there with us! For more information on our event, please visit the Chattanooga Region's website at www.crscca.com. Thanks!

Yeah, apparently I have a car addiction problem. Before I got into Miatas, I was into Fiats, but when it got to be that I could afford a Miata, Fiats went out the door. I used to part out Fiats, and at one point had 25 of those out in the back yard. I actually bought a Miata from a friend of mine that I had forgotten I sold it to him! I've had every year NA except for '97, and I had a 99 10AE for a while as well. I've got a few buddies that race turbo Miatas, and they are quick little puppies. The beauty of the Miata to me though is that it just puts a smile on your face. If you drive a Miata for at least 10 miles and through some good curves or the top down into those 10 miles, it's hard not to be smiling like a kid in a candy shop when you get out. Doesn't matter if it's a 1.6 stock or a supercharged 1.8 or a fun little beast with a 302 under the hood, you've got to smile Thanks for the welcome guys!

Well, I hate to do this, but due to low turn-out, we are having to cancel the event. We've had trouble getting workers & drivers, and I just can't bring myself to risk the financial stability of our club with an event that could lose that much money. If you made hotel reservations, remember to cancel them!

Yep, I did join to get some attention, not sure if y'all know Jeremy Schuster, he's run with us in the past, as well as Andy Tow and Pat Johnson, several turbo'd Miata guys. Figured they had ton of fun, so spread the love Just picked up another Miata myself ('95 Laguna B pkg car) that I'm loving as a street car. Can't touch it since sharing with wife, so will have to content myself with the '92 track rat and the '90 V8 for now. And off to look for another track day :(
Thanks Tim!

Quick question since I don't want to do anything verboten or annoying, a buddy of mine in Huntsville just posted up that he's selling his turbo Miata. Is it cool to post a link to his ad on our local forum?
http://teamtac.org/e107/e107_plugins...opic.php?55807 Looks like it could be a deal for someone, I just don't have the time/space for another project until I get the fire engine, Ferret and Hum-vee out of the shop.

Welcome! Next time you organize a track day and since it's relatively local, post it up on www.mx5atlanta.com. A lot of us like participating in them and some of the members regularly travel to other nearby states to make them.
