Hello ladies and gentlemen,

My name is Jonathan, new member, new (old) Miata owner. I have a 99 Miata that I purchased in the fall. Last year was my first year on track (did about 8 days) and I had a ton of fun, learned alot. I was running a 2019 VW GTI with a bunch of handling modifications and a JB4 (piggyback); it was pretty quick and setup nice for a DD/track prepped car. Around the end of the year the opportunity (?) came up to buy someone's supercharged 99 Miata which was mostly track ready (barely, but track ready). While driving the GTI I definitely developed a fondness for the Miata's while out on the track... Plus tracking my DD which was owned by the bank is a bad idea.

So anyways I came here because this weekend I'm pulling the JRSC M45 supercharger and selling it (w/ new oil and coupler) and I'm going to be working on a turbo setup prior to my first day out on track April 3rd. The M45 isn't going to get me where I wanna be and I'd also have to deal with figuring out the typical heat soak issue (it's not an issue city driving, but it will be an issue during a 20 minute track session)... I'd rather pull it, sell it now, and go in the direction I wanna go. The Miata is basically a toy that I'll drive on the street occasionally when the weather is nice and at the track, but it's focus is track time; its not my DD. So I came here to learn about turbo'ing a Miata and I also have a couple experienced friends to help me figure it out.

Thanks! Learned alot already poking through some of the stickies.

Welcome. Nice looking car. Here is another thread about selling an M45.

Looks like like someone has been sitting on your shelf for too long.
