New locost 7 build
Hi, I have been lurking here for a while. I am in the process of building a locost 7, well really a Haynes Roadster based on a miata. Your welcome to check out my blog if you want. Firefly Racing
Anyway the goal will be to add a turbo to the mix before all is said and done.

Nice looking 7 you have there. I may have to borrow your cage design.
I am in Raleigh NC. Guess I should add a bit more about myself.
Mid 30's, married with 1 kid (who is 3 month old). Been into cars as long as I knew there were cars. My father owns a parts store/machine shop, so I have been working on cars for a long time.
I use to own a '97 Miata. My wife talked me into selling it and picking up a motorcycle. I also have a '96 Mustang that is a dedicated track toy. I have been slowing building it to NASA AI specs, not that I have ever done a real race. I have done more open track events than I can remember.
I have a '95 Miata that I picked up from a salvage yard that I am using as a donor for the locost. The idea is to have a stock engine, megasquirt turbo setup with around 8-10lb of boost.
