New but Old
Hi my name is Bob but everyone knows me as Bee.
I love all kinds of cars particularly Corvettes, a few years ago I got my first Miata a 90 the car had seen better days the top was full of holes the interior was so wet I had to drain the interior thru the floor.
Anyway I cleaned it up put a new top on it and loved the car until I got the itch for a new car, so I bought a brand new 08 PRHT, then the corvette bug bit me again so I sold off everything and got a new 10 GS ragtop driving a $70K car made me nervous.
The point is I change cars often so far about 500 cars since I started driving in 1962.
Well I found another nice but not real nice red 92, put a new top on last night and now waiting for my springs and shocks.
Forgot to mention, I have been working on cars since I was 12 and it never gets old for me, but I'm happy I'm retired and do only selected work now.
I saw your forum and thought I would look around and find some new car nut friends...
I'm old in years and vertically challenged and weigh 100 lbs soaking wet, so I don't add alot of weight to any car which I feel makes them faster...LOL

That car was a poor mans GTO I had the original 389 punched to 421 11.5 to 1 Jans pistons 320 isky cam and doug thorley headers, and 4.10 locked rear, that I did drive to work some days.
Most cars I loose interest in owning, but I never loose interest in taking great care of them, they are much nicer when they leave my possession than when I get them.
My latest challenge is my Miata, but right now my daily drivers are a 2012 Honda Si coupe and a 09 Toyota Tacoma which I have since 09 so it's time for that one to go.....
Next was a 53 chevy convert. white with a 2 tone green interior had that one a month.
I have had so many cars that most times it's hard to recall everyone, but when I go to carlilse or hershey I see a car much like the one I had and it stirs my memory.
I have had some cars that now days people would pay in the range of 6 figures today, like one of my corvettes, a 67 427 435HP tri power convert comes to mind.
of course I never saw that kind of money for them, I sold that particular goodwood green with a green interior 2 top car for $3,300.00
sickening isn't it.

Yes I'm from the "Great Northeast" as they call it, believe me it's not so great.
I cheerfully call it the "Arm Pit" of the world.
The roads suck 9 months out of the year with slat and cinders then after the cinders are cleaned off the road, which they just started doing, in May they start ripping up the roads.
That lasts until the end of fall, this is a very tough place to own a car that you care highly of.
In 2010 I bought a brand new Red Corvette Grand Sport 6 speed convert., had a lot of corvettes, but never a brand new no one ever beat on car, I got to drive it 1600 miles in the 15 months I had it.
I just didn't want to own it and see it get beat to death by the roads, so I sold it lost a few grand but didn't do badly because the car had everything you would want plus it was a real good looker.
Here is my fleet going into last winter, don't have a pic this year.
I was rearranging the garage putting the winter things near the doors and burying the summer stuff.

My cars have to be ready at all times,I need to be able to get in turn the key and drive, to anyplace in the US.
When I sell any car it is ready to drive without worry, now if you beat the crap out if it, that is your problem, and I have had people who just did that.
