If you had just put it on CL, it's like 99% likely someone would have linked it and this would have gone differently. We just don't like people coming here, putting up a few useless posts, and then selling/buying ****. I don't care if you are the ******* President, its just bad form.

Wow, so much gheyness. Thanks flipside.com, for ruining my idea to make a bad *** cressida. Now every ****** is going to walk up to me and ask if it is set up for drift. ****** 240 guys do that anyways to my car. I love the look on their face when I tell them I have no rear sway bar, and drifting is for crotch cannibals. What the **** is that red *** car at the top of the flipside site? Only the bottom half? Worst pic ever.

Tough crowd.... again, you have to at least acknowledge his honesty. Most spam up old threads while he's keeping within these confines.
As far as "have you ever dragged race"- I don't know you, but its safe to say I've spent more time at the drag strip and around drag cars then you ever will. The screens are fine for engines that will be pulled apart after 2-3 runs if they even make that many before venting the block. For bracket racers or guys who run anything short of funny cars or pro mod, you'll see a filter on their car, and most will make more power then 3-4 of our turbo engines combined. A 450rwhp LS1 needs a filter just a little bigger then the size of your fist IIRC.

The air restriction that the chicken wire puts on the intake is probably far greater than a normal filter simply because of the airflow properties of the wire, combine that with the fact that the ability to filter fine particles out of the air is significantly reduced, and you have a win/win fail/fail situation!

they definitely do. it's like they're all "self-centered socialist" types. they deny what's actually good for the community (having for-sale ads in the classifieds that are neither spam nor from someone with commercial interests) and force you to contribute/share knowledge that would probably be pretty general, minimally helpful to the OP, but chances are your "forced post" wont be 100% right and simply allows them for more entertaining opportunities to make snide remarks.

This isn't a for sale thread. The guy wasn't warned or banned. He was allowed to continue posting to reach his post limit so he could post in the classifieds (where crapping doesn't happen).
What gets me more annoyed with you though is the passive aggressive name-calling and criticism of how things allegedly go down here. If you have a problem with the site or the people who volunteer their time to moderate it, you have a couple ways to handle the situation:
1. be an offensive whiner in response to a tangentially related post in some random thread.
2. send a message to a mod, admin, or the site owner and tell them how you feel.

My car is built right. The fabrication is sick. most of the custom stuff is one-offs like the cro mo roll bar with race bar attachment, Full diff kit, the RX7 up-rights re-machined for 4x100, the lightened Drive-shaft made just for my application, the turbo manifold and the full exhaust.
I mean who gives a **** if the car runs low 12s on street tires if the paint is gay? right? ******* ********.

We already have to deal with the fact that we drive Miatas. A gay paint scheme is insult to injury. Check out the rides on this site and you'll know - WE GIVE A **** WHAT OUR CARS LOOK LIKE. Whoever buys this car is going to have to sand that **** off, reprimer, and repaint the car. That paint scheme has devauled the car by $7k to $10k.
